This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the design and integration of advanced computing solutions for cutting-edge airborne platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and design of airborne computing architectures, including processing units, servers, storage systems, and communication components, based on customer requirements
  • Oversee the system lifecycle from early definition and specification stages through delivery and operational deployment
  • Participate in technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders (SRR, PDR, CDR)
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, communications, system engineering, integration, and testing teams
  • Evaluate and compare alternative products and technologies for system integration
  • Conduct trade studies to assess engineering alternatives, balancing performance, cost, power, weight, and complexity
  • Define and implement ruggedized computing solutions compliant with military and commercial environmental standards (e.g., DO-160)

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering – mandatory
  • M.Sc. – an advantage
  • Deep understanding of hardware for processing, storage, and communication systems – mandatory
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the development or design of integrated computing systems, preferably in defense or airborne domains – mandatory
  • Experience with centralized and distributed computing architectures – mandatory
  • Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD, DO-160) – mandatory
  • Strong system-level thinking, high technological analysis capabilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluent in Hebrew and English – written and spoken
