Experienced Linux Storage Engineer for a Large Organization

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and version upgrades for storage systems.
  • Optimize and improve storage performance.
  • Design and implement backup and recovery solutions (Snapshot, SnapMirror, SnapVault).
  • Monitor system performance and manage storage capacity.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, DevOps, and Development teams to provide tailored storage solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with information security policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Document processes and procedures, and provide training to technical teams.

Requirements:

  • At least
    5 years of experience
    as a Storage Engineer working in
    Linux environments
    .
  • Proven experience with
    NetApp systems
    or
    Dell EMC systems
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    SAN networking
    and
    Cisco solutions
    .
  • Experience working with
    NFS / CIFS
    file systems.
  • Solid understanding of
    TCP/IP networking
    , including VLAN and trunk configuration.
  • Familiarity with
    monitoring tools
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    VMware
    and physical servers.
  • Advantage: experience in
    large enterprises
    or
    ISP environments
    .
