City Experiences is seeking a Associate Director of Sales for our operation in Chicago, IL.

The Associate Director of Sales (ADOS) will successfully manage the sales team including recruitment, training, coaching, motivating, development, and retention. ADOS will oversee implementation & execution of city sales strategy and tactics to ensure sales goals are achieved.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Sale Team Management & Sales Development:
- Focuses on retaining and recruiting top caliber account managers
- Provides and executes an integration plan for each new hire or promotion
- Motivates, coaches, develops and directs account managers
- Works with sales team to close and/or remove tentative holds on inventory
- Provides annual performance reviews
- Develops positive working relationships with other department heads and peers
- Supports Account Managers sales efforts, by hosting showcases, visiting targeted accounts and attending tradeshows when appropriate
- Attends and supports Account Managers at networking and professional association events
- Helps Account Managers resolve customer issues
Sales & Marketing:
- Assists in the development of the city Sales and Marketing Plan.
- Plan includes account development activities for key customers and prospects within each market segment
- Develops specific sales strategies with Director of Sales and appropriate Sales Managers for targeted accounts
- Works with Director of Sales and City Directors to develop city’s cruise management plan
- Identifies and recommends local market advertising and promotion opportunities
Administrative & Financial Duties:
- Works with Director of Sales to develop budgets and sales goals according to company guideline
- Provides a monthly Sales Forecast to the General Manager and Director of Sales
- Develops comprehensive knowledge of reservation system application
- Maintains integrity of the reservation system, including proper recording of sales activities and order information
- Works with HQ on projects as necessary

Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of total sales experience consisting of at least 3 years of hands-on experience in proactive and reactive face-to-face selling and minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the work of the position OR equivalent work experience
- Hospitality/Food and Beverage experience
- Successfully managed a sales team
- Keep well informed on city’s business priorities and objectives/goals and ensure that all city sales efforts support achieving them
- Communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Develop and maintain key sales accounts
- Recruit, train and develop successful sales professionals
- Negotiate agreements effectively
- Analyze and solve problems
- Listen effectively, assesses the situation, determine relevant issues, identify solutions and gain consensus
- Work with Microsoft Office applications (especially Word & Excel) and sales management software
- Translate sales analyses & research into sales actions RESPECT
