Job Description

Our Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance team push the boundaries of global healthcare through research and innovation. Through clinical trials and surveillance, we ensure the safety and efficacy of our existing and pipeline products to produce safe, effective, innovative medicine.

This role is accountable for performance and compliance for assigned protocols in a country in compliance with ICH/GCP and country regulations, company policies and procedures, quality standards and adverse event reporting requirements internally and externally. Under the oversight of the Sr. Financial COM, the person is responsible for all clinical trials financial aspects, for execution and oversight in order to ensure site ready and clinical trials continuity.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages country finance deliverables, timelines, and results for assigned protocols to meet country commitments.
  • Responsible for quality and compliance in assigned protocols in country.
  • Contributes to the development of local SOPs. Oversees CTCs as applicable. 
  • Coordinates and liaises with CRM, CTC, CRA, COM, finance, legal (and other internal and external interfaces as applicable) to ensure country deliverables are obtained for local milestones.
  • Collaborates closely with Headquarter and local finance to align country timelines for assigned protocols.
  • Provides support and oversight to local vendors as applicable.
  • Familiarize with company policies and procedures and execute activities on local levels.
  • Review and update study budgets in our systems.
  • Oversees and tracks clinical research-related payments.
  • Support development and improvement of existing control and tracking tools.
  • Mapping and improvement internal process.
  • Provides support with clinical finance analysis.
  • Identify budget issues and escalate to management as appropriate in order to avoid budget or payments delays.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business finance/ economics/ or equivalent related experience (MBA degree preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or combined experience in Finance/Business.
  • Expertise of financial systems, tools and metrics.
  • Strong financial analysis skills with ability to translate the data and present it.
  • High skill level with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal communication skills).
  • Previous experience in global finance organizations and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to cope with high workload.
  • Ability to have practical and effective thinking in a dynamic environment, recommend and implement process improvements and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Service approach.
  • Operate with a high degree of independence.
  • Details and accuracy oriented.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills.
  • Ability to pro-actively identify issues and risks, analyze root cause, and propose solutions to problems and escalate to management as applicable.
  • Ability to focus on multiple deliverables and protocols simultaneously is essential.
  • Requires that the individual has ability to work effectively also in a remote virtual environment with a wide range of people.
