Position: Sales & Finance Assistant

Location: Buffalo Grove, IL

Our client company is a renowned global leader in industrial fire prevention and early-warning fire detection solutions. Headquartered in Germany, they are a family-owned business with subsidiaries across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The company offers comprehensive solutions in industrial fire prevention, from research and development to consulting, application, construction, standardization, assembly, commissioning, and maintenance.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Sales & Finance Assistant to join their team. This role will primarily involve managing various inside sales tasks with additional responsibilities in financial reporting and coordination. The Sales & Finance Assistant will receive comprehensive training from their team during the onboarding phase.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and proper filing of documents (e.g., sales and purchase orders, Invoices, etc.)
• Organization of shipments and storage of goods
• Support in maintaining the warehouse location
• Assist with monthly financial reports, account reconciliations, and document financial processes. Develop an understanding of financial principles.
• Planning and scheduling of meetings and events
• Preparation of customer visits and training at the office
• Consulting with supervisor to match product inquiries to sales personnel for follow-up
• Perform operational tasks with minimal supervision, maintain procedural guides, and provide administrative support as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Business preferred
• Previous experience with administrative tasks, preferably in a small to mid-size business environment
• Organizational skills and commercial knowledge
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and with ERP Software such as QuickBooks and SOS Inventory
• Open-minded, strong communicator, great at multi-tasking, team player
• Hands-on mentality, proven ability to work independently and autonomously with self-motivation and commitment
• German language skills beneficial but not required
