Our Sales team works closely with travel agencies, United travel departments, corporate clients and more to provide phenomenal customer solutions that lead to fruitful business relationships. And through valued customer feedback, optimized partnerships, and innovative sales strategies, Sales continues to be the largest revenue-generating department at United.

Key Responsibilities:

Leads the headquarters and regional relationships of assigned Top Tier multi-national leisure account portfolio. Drives leisure sales strategy to increase revenue, yield and market share while maintaining the appropriate cost of sale for this channel. Demonstrates exceptional understanding of United's key international markets, customer base, fare products, incentive programs, and channel management strategy. Applies consultative selling to build trusted relationships and establish United as a strategic global partner.

  • Manages Top Tier Accounts within the Leisure Portfolio. Conducts high quality account performance reviews and account negotiations with Director and "C" level executives. Produces detailed data analysis and uses market intelligence to drive increased revenue, share and customer loyalty. Negotiates incentive and cooperative marketing agreements to facilitate international route profitability. Solicits account participation in company supported activities such as CEO forums, advisory boards, and sponsorships in order to deepen relationships with key decision makers and produce additional revenue.
  • Proactively identifies tactical needs for both the carrier and customer and then develops appropriate solutions for both parties. Builds customer partnership plans that support new routes and/or opportunity markets and ensures tactics are targeted and implemented to create mutual success.
  • Works cross functionally with United's Pricing/Revenue Management, Agency Programs and other cross-departmental teams to ensure fare products, incentive programs and contract terms are relevant in the marketplace and offers ease of customer use.
  • Leverages visibility within regions for increased revenue and share generation, be the Leisure expert/consultant. Actively participates in key community events, related Chambers, Tourism Board, and associations to network with local executive leaders and promote United's network.

This is a remote role, with the potential to travel up to 60% of the time to support client needs.

Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of sales/airline management experience
  • Strong negotiating skills and financial acumen
  • Analytical tools (Microsoft Office applications)
  • Strong sales communications skills - Using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of a product, service, or idea from prospects and clients
  • Experience building productive customer relationships
  • Takes responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Leisure Sales experience
  • Knowledge and user experience of the company's systems and data sources used within Sales
  • Ability to quickly learn and leverage digital and social selling tools
  • Experience or knowledge in Finance, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Marketing, Loyalty, or Alliances
  • Strong negotiation skills

The salary for this position is $91,800 to $134,640 dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule. Bonus eligible: yes.
