The Photonics team is dealing with the 'heart' of the LiDAR:

Designing the optical architecture of both current and next-generation systems, dealing with varied aspects of optics, from semiconductor lasers, through advanced detectors and sophisticated optics to achieve a leading optical solution.

ResponsibilitiesElectro-optics Design, engineering and simulationWorking with the development team from the design phase, through proof of concept prototyping and development of the final productOptics lab work, including the guidance of optics techniciansClosely work with other teams at Innoviz – Algorithm, Signal Processing, System, Mechanics and with Program ManagersData analysis, presentations to team members and staffWork with and guide sub-contractors and suppliers of optical elements
