Surgical Technologist Position

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing the surgical field and supplies/instruments delivered to the field. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide a cooperative work environment and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
About the Job
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, with days and rotating shifts available. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and two years of scrub experience or equivalent knowledge and skills. You must also be certified as a Surgical Technologist within three months of employment and have current CPR certification.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform duties in the scrub role as assigned, maintaining a safe and organized surgical environment. This includes:
• Preparing the surgical field and delivering supplies and instruments
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
• Maintaining professional growth and adhering to hospital policies and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of scrub experience or equivalent knowledge and skills
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification obtained within three months of employment
• Current CPR certification
