Senior FPGA Design Engineer

About This Role

We are looking for an innovative FPGA engineer to join our R&D Hardware department and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology FPGAs in a multidisciplinary system.

Responsibilities:

• Implement cutting-edge technology on a daily basis and relate it to various important fields in our organization: control, algorithms, and machine learning.
• Develop RTL code for additional functionality and capabilities, perform logic synthesis, timing analysis, and timing closure.
• Develop test bench and simulation tools to verify correct logical functionality.
• Understand schematics, perform lab tests on designs and components, troubleshoot, and improve building block modules.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related area.
• Over 5 years of experience designing FPGAs in VHDL or Verilog.
• Practical knowledge of RTL design, synthesis, timing closure, simulation, and verification test benches.
• Hardware bring-up and debug experience desired.
• Expertise in FPGA from Xilinx/Intel (Altera) families.
• Familiarity with high-level programming languages, such as C/C++, System Verilog, High-Level Synthesis, Scripts (TCL, Python).
• Familiarity with AXI methodology.
• Familiarity with working with verification engineers using UVM environment.
• The ability to work in a team, take input from other members, and coordinate work effectively.
• The ability to prioritize work assignments and react to a dynamic work environment.
• A strong analytical and problem-solving ability with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
