Job Title: Financial Crime Prevention Lead


We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Financial Crime Prevention team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) policies and procedures.

About the Role:

  • Develop and maintain AML and KYC policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations on areas of improvement.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including management and Compliance teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as regulatory bodies and industry associations, to stay up-to-date on evolving financial crime trends and best practices.
  • Supervise the work of the KYC and AML team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all AML and KYC activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Finance, Law or Criminology.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services sector.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing FinCrime/Risk/Compliance Ops teams in a regulated institution.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CAMS or CFE, would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Able to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with AML/KYC software and systems.
