Job Title: Radiology Technologist
Radiology technologists are responsible for producing high-quality images of the human body for diagnostic purposes. This involves operating complex equipment, positioning patients accurately, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Positioning patients for various medical imaging exams, ensuring accurate and comfortable positioning.
  • Operating radiologic equipment, including computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and fluoroscopy units.
  • Maintaining patient records, including histories, exam results, and technical parameters.
  • Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or related field.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) licensure.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of patients, up to 35 pounds, without assistance.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and make independent professional decisions.
