Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Staff Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional food and service in a community setting. As a Kitchen Staff Member, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Food preparation, including adaptation of recipes for special dietary needs.
- Food presentation on plates, ensuring an appealing appearance.
- Coordination and participation in serving food, monitoring portion control, and minimizing waste.
- Maintenance of accurate records of chargeable meals and submission of reports by designated dates.
- Collaboration with the Dietary Manager to plan and adjust menus based on seasonal foods, vendor prices, and special events.
- Identification of food and supplies needed for upcoming menus and communication with the Dietary Manager.
- Proper handling, storage, and labeling of delivered foods and ingredients.
- Maintenance of a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Education:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Licenses/Certifications:
A ServSafe certification is mandatory.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of cooking experience is required.
