Senior Backend Engineer Opportunity

MateHR is seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our development team in Tel Aviv, Israel.

About the Role

This position involves creating and maintaining high-performance, scalable systems and backend services that drive critical parts of the platform.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain backend services using modern frameworks and languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver solutions that are reliable and scalable.
  • Optimize existing systems for performance and scalability.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to solve complex technical problems.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong experience with Python, Java, or a similar programming language.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, relational databases (SQL), and cloud-based services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling technical challenges.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
