Surgical Technologist

About the Role:
The Surgical Technologist will be responsible for preparing the sterile field, maintaining a safe work environment, and anticipating the needs of the physician. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the sterile field in a timely manner, maintaining its sterility throughout the procedure
- Assist the physician by sponging, suctioning, retracting, and cutting sutures as required
- Maintain on-call availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Participate in emergency situations, prioritizing patient care and safety
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of scrub experience or equivalent knowledge and skills
- Certified Surgical Technologist certification (obtained within 3 months of employment)
- CPR certification
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
