Emergency Medicine Physician Needed

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician to fill a 12-day locum tenens assignment at an Urgent Care facility in Illinois.

">

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients of all ages and conditions, performing ventilation management and intubations as needed, placing central lines, and managing critical care patients.

The ideal candidate should have experience in critical access or rural emergency medicine and be comfortable working in a low-volume emergency department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages and conditions">
  • Perform ventilation management and intubations as needed">
  • Place central lines and manage critical care patients">
  • Handle admissions, discharges, and observations">
  • Collaborate with specialty backup including hospitalists, surgeons, and other specialists">
  • Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation">
  • Manage a diverse range of emergency cases in a critical access setting">
  • Perform rapid assessment and triage of patients">
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests">
  • Coordinate patient transfers when necessary">
  • Ensure adherence to emergency medicine protocols and best practices">
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records">
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members">
