Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a job in Harwood Heights, Illinois.
A key member of our multidisciplinary team, the Respiratory Therapist will provide and coordinate comprehensive respiratory care services. Using evidence-based practices, clinical decision making, and skilled communication, the therapist will compassionately lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
Main Responsibilities:
The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care procedures and modalities in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have effective organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficient computer skills and use of electronic mail and electronic medical record systems are essential.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and ensuring proper functionality of equipment.
- Demonstrates human relation skills with the ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with patients, team members, and physicians.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Respiratory Therapist certification (CRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)/American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Specialist (NPS) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
