Live-In Leadership Opportunity
Nefesh B'Nefesh is seeking responsible and community-minded individuals to serve as Resident Advisors. This live-in leadership position in Jerusalem offers a unique opportunity to create a supportive, values-based living environment for young women serving in national service.
This is a part-time position ideally suited for candidates who thrive in communal settings and are committed to empowering others during a transformative chapter in their lives.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain an ongoing live-in presence during weekdays. Weekend (Shabbat) presence is not required unless otherwise scheduled in advance.
- Participate in a rotating schedule of evening and overnight shifts. Provide accessible, calm, and responsible support in case of nighttime needs or emergencies.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for residents during urgent situations, handling matters with discretion and maturity. Escalate issues to the Rakezet as appropriate.
- Help maintain a safe and respectful environment by upholding the standards of the residence. Report any significant concerns or policy violations directly to the Rakezet.
- Collaborate with the Rakezet to coordinate logistics, planning, and participation in monthly Shabbatons and community-building events.
- Initiate and help implement occasional recreational or social activities that foster positive peer relationships and enrich the shared living experience.
- Demonstrated maturity, responsibility, and sound judgment.
- A warm, approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfort navigating communal living dynamics and maintaining healthy boundaries.
- A team player with excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Prior experience in youth leadership, summer camps, or communal frameworks is preferred.
- Native or fluent English is required; Hebrew proficiency is an advantage.
