Job Title: Registered Nurse, Clinical Research Coordinator

The primary responsibility of this role is to support clinical trials at the top of their nursing license scope for existing and novel oncology therapies. Working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating therapeutic clinical trials in all oncology diseases represented at the site.

  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of federal regulations, institutional guidance documents, and SOPs to ensure human subject protection, compliance with protocol and regulatory requirements, and thorough data collection.
  • Collaborate with investigators in reviewing subjects' recruitment and pre-screening for protocol eligibility. Develop an individualized strategy for identifying potentially eligible patients for each study.
  • Schedule and participate in off-site investigator meetings, site-initiation visits, and auditing activities as delegated by the Director, Clinical Research and/or Research Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely data collection, documentation, and reporting.
  • Assist clinicians (LPNs, MAs, and/or RNs) in ensuring that protocol-required specimen collections, electrocardiograms, vital signs, study drugs, and customary usual care medications are performed per protocol.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and certifications as required by protocol activities.
Requirements:
  • Prior clinical research, nursing, and/or coordinator experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Arizona Registered Nurse License or a Registered Nurse License from a Compact State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association within 1 month of employment.
  • ACRP, SOCRA, or other certification within 3 years of employment.
  • International Air Transport Association (IATA) certification within 1 month of employment.
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification within 1 month of employment.
  • Human Subjects Protection (HSP) certification within 1 month of employment.
