Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in working with students near Palatine, IL. This position will support students during the schools Extended School Year (ESY) program in June.

The ideal candidate should have experience and a demonstrated ability to work with a range of low incidence disabilities including cognitive impairments and autism spectrum disorders. The successful candidate will provide direct service to individuals and groups of students in self-contained programs and general education settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech therapy services to students with varying needs
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and other team members to develop effective strategies
  • Use assistive technology and augmentative communication devices as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents, private therapists, and other agencies


Requirements:
  • Possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology Endorsement
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with special needs
