Our ideal candidate will possess a strong business acumen, with the ability to bridge the gap between customers and our cutting-edge analytics platform. As a Business Data Analyst, you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through complex data insights to drive strategic decisions.

  • Business Partnering & Requirements Gathering
    • Meet directly with customers to understand their goals, pain points, and data sources
    • Translate business questions into data analysis plans and KPIs
  • Data Exploration & Insight Generation
    • Dive into diverse, raw business datasets (CSV, JSON, API-sourced) to identify trends and anomalies
    • Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Dashboard Development & Storytelling
    • Design and build end-to-end dashboards in our platform that tell a compelling business story
    • Craft narratives around data to help clients make informed decisions
  • Ai-Augmented Analytics
    • Collaborate with our internal AI agent: draft prompts for chart creation, summarization, and anomaly detection
    • Refine AI outputs to ensure they meet customer needs and business context
  • Technical Implementation
    • Write and optimize SQL queries against Postgres (and other cloud data warehouses)
    • Leverage Python scripting for data cleaning, transformation, and simple analyses
    • Work comfortably with data formats (JSON, CSV) and pull data via RESTful APIs
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Best Practices
    • Partner with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to continuously enhance analytics offerings
    • Uphold visualization and data governance best practices, ensuring accuracy, performance, and usability

Key qualifications include:

  • 2–3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, BI Developer, or similar role
  • Business-oriented mindset: proven ability to interpret raw data, derive insights, and communicate strategic value to stakeholders
  • SQL skills and comfort working in cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake
  • Expertise with at least one major BI platform (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Google Data Studio)
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate ambiguous questions into data-driven answers and KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

While background in accounting, law, or legal analytics is advantageous, it's not required. Our ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow with us.
