Speech Language Pathologist 2025-26 School Year

We have a opening for a full-time school based Speech Language Pathologist near Rochelle , IL for the 2025-26 school year. Elementary level caseload, 45-50 students. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supports students by assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the SLP collaborates with educators, families, and specialists to help students develop effective communication skills essential for academic success and social development. Key Responsibilities: Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations. Provide direct therapy services (including co-treating for social language groups with School Social Worker) to students based on identified needs and IEP goals. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate communication goals into the classroom setting. Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and legal requirements. Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities. Educate and support school staff and parents on speech and language development and disorders. Provide consultation services to general and special education teachers regarding communication strategies in the classroom. Qualifications: Minimum Education/Certification: ● Illinois Professional Educator’s License (PEL) - Speech Language Pathologist endorsement required Experience working with school-age children, preferably in a school or educational setting. lpind promoted PandoLogic.
