TotalMed Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Marion, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/23/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Travel Order (1866118) Days and nights available Deaconess IL Medical Center - Neuro MS/TELE RN - 12hr Days NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE) Contract Length: 13 weeks Start: ASAP Guaranteed Hours: 36 Primary location: Deaconess IL Medical Center Shift Requirement: 12hr Days Float Requirement: Could float to the medical unit On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend. Every other holiday. Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active IL RN license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS. Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med Surg/TELE, 1 travel assignment. Neuro experience required Some Critical Care or Step Down experience highly preferred Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required. Patient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, cerebral angiogram. General medical Skillset: Will also need to be comfortable taking medical overflow patients. NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict I’s & O’s/straight cath/Foleys, intitate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills Unit Information: 22 bed Neuro unit - Ratio: 1:4 | Charge nurse will have patient assignment Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates Scrub Colors: Navy Blue Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required - Subject to change GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation.
