Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population, focusing on the assessment and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders in adult patients. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Provide speech, language, and swallowing therapy to patients recovering from acute medical events. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and case managers to provide holistic care. Educate patients, caregivers, and families about communication and swallowing disorders, home exercises, and safety strategies. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Comply with all facility, state, and federal guidelines and professional standards. Experience A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required. Current state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. Experience in rehabilitation or acute care preferred.
