Key Deliverables and Responsibility:

  • Oversee Logistics' personnel with day-to-day operations and resolution of issues.
  • Recieve purchase orders and ship confirms client sales orders in the system meeting established weekly and monthly metrics
  • Expedite past due purchase orders with vendors meeting established weekly and monthly metrics.
  • Perform freight quotes, maintain a log of open quotes, and follow up on all communication to adhere to the average conversion time and quote-to-close ratio.
  • Review freight invoices from common carriers.
  • Support of daily, weekly, and monthly inventory cycle counts, and generate variance report for review.
  • Schedule delivery of shipments, process and manage order fulfillment in established timeframe. Provide proof of delivery documentation, when required.
  • Assist with export shipment and acknowledgement documentation, when required.
  • Deliver training to associates when new programs and processes are developed and implemented.  Train new logistics associates on all job-related processes and systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • A minimum of (5) five years of experience in logistics involving international shipping, freight forwarding, and customs and export/import requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in transportation management in the CENTCOM AOR, including coordinating with carriers, route planning, and scheduling deliveries to military installations.
  • Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) Certification for one of the following is preferred: Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) or Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be able to exchange information clearly and accurately in all situations.
  • Highly meticulous and organized to execute multiple tasks with different requirements, adhering to deadlines.
  • Demonstrates strong team building qualities such as assisting team members and collaborating with internal departments of varying levels of expertise, when necessary.
  • PC proficiency including carrier software and Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to obtain Hazmat certification.  (Current certification preferred).
  • Self-driven and proactive in nature. Takes initiative to resolve challenges and complete tasks under minimal supervision
