About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our Cross Team and take a central role in driving operational efficiency and strategic oversight within our Professional Services department. This role will primarily focus on managing capacity, optimizing departmental budgets, and enhancing reporting to ensure the department operates smoothly and effectively.
Lead and manage the capacity planning process for the Professional Services department, monitoring and analyzing team member availability to ensure balanced workloads and the ability to take on new projects.
Serve as the main point of contact for sales and services executives, communicating the Professional Services team's capacity and providing available slots for new project starts.
Proactively communicate with various stakeholders regarding capacity constraints, gaps, and future capacity forecasts based on historical data and pipeline analysis.
Manage the departmental travel and expenses budget, including forecasting, tracking, and providing regular reports to leadership to ensure financial discipline.
Develop and maintain comprehensive management reports and dashboards to provide clear visibility into team performance, project statuses, and key departmental metrics.
Lead project governance and reporting to ensure capacity data is accurately calculated and maintained across all projects.
Maintain a continuous improvement culture by regularly reviewing operational processes, gathering feedback, and implementing refinements to enhance overall team productivity.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in an operations management, professional services, or a similar role, with a strong focus on capacity and budget management.
2+ years of experience in creating and managing detailed reports and dashboards to provide operational visibility and inform strategic decision-making.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational bottlenecks and develop data-driven solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Experience with capacity planning tools and methodologies for managing a professional services or consulting team.
Other Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or Information Systems - Advantage
Strong analytical skills and experience in developing and utilizing reports and dashboards to drive insights and decision-makingAbility to manage and track large-scale budgets, including forecasting and expense reporting.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software delivery lifecycle
Experience with project management tools like Smartsheets, Jira, Monday, and Confluence
