Taboola, the world's largest content recommendation platform, is hiring a Data Analyst in Algorithms Group.

At Taboola, we currently work in a hybrid work model giving employees the flexibility to work from home a few days a week. We have offices in Ramat Gan and Beer Sheva and are looking to grow to additional locations such as Jerusalem, where our Taboolars have the opportunity to meet their teammates, connect with other teams and socialize with friends.

What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?

• Analyze big data and generate useful conclusions and actionable recommendations, driving our algorithm development and business efforts forward
• Define and implement advanced analysis tools using a variety of means such as Python, Tableau and Grafana
• Own and manage multiple data initiatives and projects both on an ongoing and an ad-hoc basis
• Devise new approaches of data analytics and in-depth statistical analysis while dealing with issues never dealt with before

What are the skills a good Data Analyst in Algorithms Group needs to have? 

• Exceptional ability to understand data and to transform it into insights
• BA/BSc or equivalent related experience in statistics, data analysis, data mining. MSC - an advantage
• 3+ years experience working in a Data Science / Data Analysis / Product Analysis / BI position in a high data-rich environment
• Proven experience in SQL, preferably using big-data database such as Google BigQuery 
• Coding experience in Python (preferred) or other  scripting languages such as R or Matlab
• Familiarity with statistical modeling and analysis techniques  
• Fast learning capabilities and proven ability to multitask - working on several projects at a time
• Strong communication skills to be able to present insights and ideas, and excellent English, required to communicate with our global teams

It would be great if you also have: 

• Familiarity with Machine learning concepts - a big advantage
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau or Qlik) - an advantage
• Experience in reviewing data-science related articles and convert them into practical research or working products - an advantage
• Experience in internet/mobile companies - an advantage
• Experience in software development / background in computer science
