Lead Mission System Engineer
| Ashdod | ELTA Systems Ltd.

ELTA is seeking a Lead Mission System Engineer for a large-scale defense project involving autonomous combat systems.

The position includes:


• Leading all system engineering phases, from problem definition to system-level design, requirements development, process definition, development support, integration, testing, and delivery


• Engineering leadership and involvement in mission-related R&D projects, starting from proposal and initiation phases including technical responses, requirements definition, and pricing


• Participating in the definition of product roadmaps, including mission systems, operator stations, global standards compliance, integration tools, analysis, and more


• Matrix leadership of several mission system engineers within a major project

What we're looking for:


• B.Sc. in Software Engineering – required


• Over 10 years of experience in software development for large-scale projects involving mission and C4I systems, including experience with software integration and collaboration with system engineering teams – required


• Over 10 years of experience in mission and C4I system engineering with emphasis on technology, architecture, design, implementation, and system delivery – required


• Experience in system engineering for IDF C4I systems – an advantage


• Proficiency in UML design tools – strong advantage


• Familiarity with modern software environments including DevOps, containers, microservices, DDS, and PUB/SUB – an advantage


• Knowledge of relevant global system standards (GVA, ROS, JAUS or similar) – strong advantage


• Strong system-level perspective, excellent interpersonal skills, and teamwork – required
