Senior Data Scientist – RT Advertising

Job description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Scientist to join our Real-Time Advertising team. You will design, implement, and optimize advanced machine learning solutions for global-scale programmatic advertising systems operating at millisecond latency and processing billions of daily events. Your work will focus on the full lifecycle of ML model development—from exploratory data analysis, business problem mapping, and experimentation through production deployment, ongoing monitoring, and continuous iteration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and building sophisticated machine learning models for ad targeting, relevance, and campaign optimization at global scale.
  • Working with large-scale, high-velocity ad data (billions of requests per day, real-time bidding) to generate actionable insights and guide model development.
  • Translating complex AdTech business challenges into measurable ML-driven solutions and validating impact through rigorous experimentation.
  • Collaborating with data engineers, product managers, and developers to drive business performance improvements.
  • Continuously monitoring, evaluating, and updating models in production to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and business impact in a fast-evolving environment.
  • Leading experimental design (A/B testing, causal inference) to assess model effectiveness and support decision-making.
  • Communicating findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job requirements:

  • MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience developing, deploying, and monitoring ML models in production, preferably with large-scale data.
  • Extensive expertise in algorithms, data structures, probability, statistics, experimental design (A/B testing, causal inference), and large-scale data analysis.
  • Proven ownership of end-to-end data science projects from ideation and modeling to production deployment and post-launch monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with Big Data environments and real-time systems (e.g., RTB, campaign optimization, fraud detection).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
