Senior AI Researcher
, you will be at the forefront of developing next-generation vision-based applications that make driving safer and smarter. You'll work closely with our world-class research team to push the boundaries of AI, leveraging Nexar's vast network of dash cam data to create innovative solutions for driving video understanding.

Your expertise will drive the design, experimentation, and validation of cutting-edge models, transforming massive real-world datasets into actionable insights. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of connected services, contribute to groundbreaking AI research, and help redefine how the world drives.

Responsibilities

• Cutting-Edge AI Research Scientist: Conduct research and development on cutting-edge AI technologies, including deep learning and computer vision, with an emphasis on VLMs and generative AI models.
• Multimodal AI Modeling Specialist: Key research domains include Large Multi-modality Models (e.g., vision, language, audio, action and sensory data), open-vocabulary scene understanding, large-scale retrieval, self-supervised learning, visual localization and knowledge-distillation for edge-AI applications.
• AI Product Transformation: Transform our massive large-scale datasets into impactful, life-saving AI products
• Research-Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team on planning and integrating your research projects into production.
• User-Centric Research: Work closely with product and business development teams to understand the user and business needs and to translate them into research objectives.

Requirements
Technical skills & qualifications

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Engineering / Computer Science / Physics / Mathematics or any relevant field
• Strong background in deep learning, computer vision, VLMS and generative AI
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing deep-learning/computer Vision algorithms
• Hands-on experience with at least one major deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)
• Strong programming skills in Python
