Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Financial Controller to join Geckos Games and work directly with our CFO. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA early in their career to deepen their financial expertise, take ownership of core accounting and operational finance processes, and contribute to our fast-paced expansion in the U.S. market.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee daily accounting operations and coordinate with external bookkeeping and tax partners
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close cycles while ensuring accurate and timely financial statements aligned with US GAAP
  • Own operational finance across payment processors, including PSP reconciliation, transaction validation, cash-flow monitoring, and continuous process optimization
  • Support annual audits, U.S. tax filing, and additional statutory requirements
  • Build financial dashboards, reporting tools, and forecasting models using Excel, Power BI, and AI-driven solutions
  • Maintain and improve financial systems, including full ownership of the Priority ERP
  • Partner closely with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, KPI tracking, and strategic initiatives
  • Implement strong internal controls and scalable accounting procedures as the company grows

What We're Looking For

  • CPA certification required
  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a tech company or startup
  • strong Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI and AI tools
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and exposure to U.S. tax processes are considered an advantage
  • Highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Tech-savvy with a passion for improving processes and workflows
  • Thrives in a fast-moving, growth-oriented startup environment
  • High-level English required
