Samsung R&D Center is looking for Student Automation SW Engineer to join us.

The team:

Our team develops applications, tools, and DevOps solutions that bridge the gap between software, hardware, and AI-driven innovation.

We collaborate closely with the Algorithms team to deliver Android-based projects, as well as web applications and infrastructure platforms that enable smooth deployment and integration of advanced technologies.

What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain automation infrastructure supporting both software and hardware control systems.
  • Write test plans and develop automated and manual tests to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Design, establish, and manage automated test environments to support product validation and continuous improvement.
  • Define, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and integration processes.
  • Write, review, and maintain Python code to support testing, automation, and system integration tasks.
  • Work across Linux and Windows environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, architecture and integration) to deliver robust and efficient solutions.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field from a reputable university, with a GPA of 85 or higher.
  • At least two years remaining until the expected completion of studies.
  • Strong system-level understanding and analytical thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, work independently, and take ownership of tasks.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and exploring new technologies.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Python programming.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based environments.

Advantages

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.
  • Experience with React and TypeScript for front-end development and automation dashboards.
  • Exposure to DevOps infrastructures (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Previous participation in software projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
  • Understanding or hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and workflows.
