Position Summary

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Level Designer to join our team and shape the core experience for our players. You will be the architect of fun, crafting engaging puzzles that are both challenging and rewarding. This role is a perfect blend of creativity and analytics, where you will not only design levels and mechanics but also dive deep into player data to optimize our game for long-term retention and success. You will work cross-functionally to ensure your designs align perfectly with our product vision and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Level Crafting & Pacing: Design, implement, and balance levels that align with core gameplay loops and monetization strategies. Structure the player journey to effectively onboard new mechanics and provide a varied, compelling challenge.
  • Funnel Optimization & Data Analysis: Evaluate player data to identify trends, balance the difficulty curve, and optimize level funnels. Use data insights to improve key metrics (retention, engagement, monetization) and to form clear hypotheses that guide the direction of future content.
  • Iterative Design & Peer Review: Actively playtest your own levels and those of your peers, providing and documenting timely, constructive feedback. Iterate on content based on playtest results and team input to ensure the highest quality and consistency.
  • LiveOps & A/B Testing: Actively participate in the game's LiveOps strategy by designing content for in-game events, challenges, and promotions. Develop and execute A/B tests to validate design hypotheses and continuously iterate on level performance.
  • Tool & System Collaboration: Work closely with Product and Development teams to help define and create new tools, systems, and parameters that provide precise control over level difficulty and player experience.
  • Market Research & Innovation: Keep a pulse on market trends by analyzing top-performing mobile puzzle games. Extract actionable insights and innovative ideas to ensure our game remains competitive and fresh.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Level Designer or in a directly related role.
  • Strong proficiency with level design and configuration tools.
  • Deep understanding of F2P game design principles, especially within the mobile puzzle genre, including core loops, player motivation, and monetization mechanics.
  • Advanced analytical skills with a proven ability to spot patterns in player data and use those insights to balance levels and optimize funnels.
  • Excellent creative and problem-solving abilities, with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Significant level design experience in Card/Bingo/Dice Games or similar top-performing puzzle subgenres is a huge plus.
  • Hands-on experience with liveops planning, A/B testing frameworks, and data-informed iteration cycles.
