CyberWell is seeking a stellar Director of Philanthropy to join our small but growing team This position is full-time and is available for immediate start. We work in a hybrid format and are in our Tel Aviv office 3 days a week. This position will work closely with the CEO and COO.
About Us
CyberWell is a start-up nonprofit with technology at its core. Together with our strategic partners, our mission is to address online antisemitism and hate in the digital era through driving the enforcement and improvement of hate speech policies across the digital space and empowering efforts against antisemitism with the data that we collect.
About You
You are mission driven and believe in the power of small nonprofits to make a big impact.
You have around 5 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, and/or resource development and are ready for your next challenge - to lead CyberWell's philanthropic growth strategy and set us up for long-term success.
You love people - building, maintaining, and enhancing relationships.
You are a communicator: you speak the verbal and written language of private donors, foundation professionals, supporters, and partners.
You are a team player- "all hands on deck" is a rallying cry.
You are a multi-tasker who thrives in a dynamic work environment with multiple areas of responsibility and can manage your time effectively.
Responsibilities Include
The Director of Philanthropy will be responsible for developing and leading the organization's donor relations and fundraising strategy to ensure financial sustainability and expand support for our work - and then implementing it.
Development Strategy: Develop and execute CyberWell's philanthropic growth strategy including annual and multi-year fundraising plans in partnership with internal teams and external consultants.
Managing Donor Relations: Recruiting new donors, maintaining and growing existing relationships, providing updates, and scheduling regular check-ins. You will need to take evening meetings to accommodate US working hours
Donor & Grant Research: Actively identify new opportunities; conduct outreach to secure meetings.
Grant Management: Writing and submitting LOIs, applications, grant proposals, and reports (for now - we envision this as a leadership role with eventual management responsibilities).
Written Content: Creating presentations, impact reports, and digital fundraising campaigns in cooperation with the Director of Communications.
Fundraising Trips: Currently, the CEO serves as the primary fundraiser and you will support her efforts. With experience, the Director of Resource Development will ideally serve as the front-facing point of contact and will take over fundraising trips abroad.
Qualifications
Identification with CyberWell's mission
Native English – a must
High-level Hebrew – advantage
Resource development experience – 5 years approx
Writing and editing master – detail oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Task management master
Discretion is a must
