Senior Algorithm Developer - Medical Imaging & Computer Vision

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced algorithm developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced medical imaging algorithms. This role involves addressing complex, high-impact challenges in computer vision - including 3D reconstruction, segmentation, object detection, and registration - as well as deep learning, while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and clinicians. You will play a key role in shaping the algorithmic direction of the product, taking ideas from research and prototyping through to full integration in clinical applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for 3D medical imaging and computer vision applications
  • Develop, train, and evaluate deep learning models for segmentation, detection, and registration tasks
  • Work closely with software, hardware, and clinical teams to translate algorithmic concepts into practical medical solutions
  • Lead feasibility studies, benchmark approaches, and drive algorithm performance improvements
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, medical imaging, and computer vision research

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience developing algorithms in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or Medical Imaging
  • Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong Python programming skills, with experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras
  • Solid understanding of Machine Learning, 3D geometry, and image processing principles
  • Proven ability to independently research, prototype, and deliver production-ready algorithmic solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Advantages

  • Experience with medical imaging frameworks such as ITK, VTK, or SimpleITK
  • Background in GPU programming (CUDA) or high-performance computing
  • Experience deploying AI algorithms in production environments using C++, Docker, or cloud-based pipelines
  • Familiarity with orthopedic imaging or 3D anatomical modeling
