Senior Core Virtualization Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement and support our solutions at top level according to TeraSky best practices.
• Create High & Low-level design documents, including procedures documentation.
• Installation and configuration of virtualization solutions as part of the project scope (HCI, Software Defined Network, etc.)
• Provide effective technical support and fault resolution with timely feedback to customers, adhering to Service Level Agreements.
• Take ownership of patching and upgrade projects for Hybrid Cloud environments in various organizations.
• Testing new technologies, finding the appropriate use cases, and leading POC activities.
• Keep up to date with virtualization solutions using documentation and LAB tests and maintain required certifications.
• Work closely with other team members, solutions architects to provide the right solution to our customers.
• Lead a comprehensive Health Check process, provide reports and be able to assess best practice deviation.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated consulting skills, ideally through previous roles as a Consultant or Architect.
• Virtualization specialist with 3-5 years working with VMware environments.
• Designing and implementing VMware based architecture for SDDCs.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot RCAs in virtualized environments.
• Hands-on experience with vSphere, vSAN, SRM, VCF Operations(aka vROPS),VCF Operations for logs(aka vRLI), Nutanix.
• Knowledgeable in configuring and understanding infrastructure networking and SDN (Cisco switches and routers, Juniper devices, FortiGate, NSX-V, NSX-T).
• Experience with installing, updating, and managing physical racks: UCS, HP, DELL.
• VCP-DCV Certified- highly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated, team player and dedicated individual who is willing to learn and progress with today's current Hybrid Cloud technologies.

• Experience with VxRail, VMware Cloud Foundation, VCF Automation(aka vRA), VMC, AWS, Kubernetes
• Nutanix NCP - advantage
• Nutanix Certified Professional, VCP-NV, VCP-CMA, vSAN Specialist, CKA, VCF specialist, CCNA, RHCA/E
• Automation Skills (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, PowerCLI, vRO workflows)

For applicants in the United States, the potential yearly compensation or "OTE" (including commission for sales positions and salary for other roles) for this job spans from $140,000 to $170,000. The final offer will take into account the specific role, location, and the candidate's unique experience. Additional incentives such as bonuses, commissions, or equity may be available for this position.
