We seek a Procurement Manager
to lead and manage all aspects of purchasing and to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services and managing vendors while performing strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies, policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes in the balance of buyer-supplier power.
  • Monitor and forecast demand levels.
  • Direct procurement policies to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints
  • Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability. Foster good relationships with suppliers and constantly seek new opportunities to work with vendors that will maximize profitability.
  • Administer purchasing agreements and contracts with suppliers in support of organizational requirements, policies and legal requirements.
  • Troubleshoot cost, quality and delivery concerns.
  • Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases.
  • Work with relevant departments to manage inventory requirements.
  • Monitor and reduce purchase variances to meet profit objectives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant academic degree.
  • Significant work experience in engineering, plant engineering, or electronics at a multidisciplinary company.
  • Strategic procurement
    and logistics
    experience – profitable negotiating with subcontractors and external suppliers (including International)
  • Proven working experience as a procurement/logistics manager
  • Managerial experience managing 10 employees or more
  • Familiarity with market research tactics
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
