Ice Rink Attendant

Edge Sports Global is looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our team for the upcoming hockey season As a Rink Attendant, at Mark Bavis Ice Arena you'll be the welcoming face of the facility—overseeing public skating sessions, private rentals, and special events. You'll help ensure a safe, fun, and well-organized environment for guests of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee attendance, safety, and crowd control during public skating sessions and private events.
• Score keeping youth hockey game (will train)
• Provide excellent customer service—greeting guests, answering questions, and assisting with phone inquiries.
• Operate a cashless point-of-sale register for concessions and skate rentals.
• Rent, fit, and maintain rental skates, including skate sharpening. (Training provided)
• Enforce rink rules and ensure guest compliance in a friendly but professional manner.
• Assist with concession stand operations (snacks, drinks, etc.).
• Keep the facility clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Support event setup and breakdown as needed.

Qualifications:

• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
• Comfortable interacting with the public and handling customer concerns.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and punctual with strong attention to safety.
• Previous experience in customer service, recreation, or hospitality is a plus.
• Ability to skate is helpful but not required (training provided).

Additional Details:

• Evening, weekend, and shifts are part of the role.
• Must be able to with stand a cold environment and lift up to 30 lbs.
