The Missile and Space Systems Division is seeking a
System Reliability and Safety Engineer
.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading reliability and safety engineering tasks in complex projects.
  • Writing master plans for reliability and safety, defining and formulating technical specification requirements, and supporting design alternatives based on reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety considerations.
  • Performing reliability allocation, reliability predictions for electronic and mechanical components, system-level reliability, availability, and safety analyses, preparing detailed reports, and participating in design reviews.
  • Safety hazard analysis for airborne systems, risk assessment, and risk mitigation (PHA, SHA).
  • Failure mode analysis for reliability and safety using Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), system reliability models (RBD), statistical methods for reliability assessment, and familiarity with international reliability and safety standards.
  • Electrical stress analysis in electronic design (Derating concept), maintainability and testability analysis, fault analysis (FRACAS), simulation methods for reliability and availability predictions, spare parts availability forecasting based on reliability data, reliability test planning, and quantitative methods in quality testing.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering – mandatory.
  • Master's degree in Quality and Reliability Engineering – advantage.
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in system reliability and/or safety engineering – mandatory.
  • Experience with military systems – advantage.
  • Certification as a Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) by the American Society for Quality – advantage.
