The Workforce Development Project Manager in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is responsible for facilitating internal projects from proposal and inception through post go live, including identifying, implementing, and tracking clinical research workforce development program goals, both short and long term; goals directed at CTSI trainees, clinical research professionals, NIH-funded scholars, cross-institutional, cross discipline OSU faculty and staff, and the national CTSA community. Liaises with the clinical research education representatives from the CTMO and CTO, as well as our pediatric partners; works under the supervision of the CTSI Administrative Director. The Workforce Development Project Manager will lead the design and strategic planning of workforce development programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and compliance with governance structures. This role will implement initiatives targeted to clinical research professional workforce development at all career stages, including outreach to K-12 students. This position will execute learning activities designed to assist the target population develop their clinical and translational research skills and careers and training programs by applying evidence-based practices and continuously evaluates program effectiveness through feedback, metrics, and outcomes analysis. Use data-driven insights to refine program strategies, enhance learner experiences, and support career development pathways in clinical and translational research. Develops and maintains detailed project documentation and reports on milestones, deliverables, and performance indicators to stakeholders and leadership. Collaborates with internal and external partners, including faculty, trainees, and community organizations, to ensure program relevance and impact. Develops, manages, and coordinates major areas of clinical research workforce development programming ensuring project results meet quality, schedule, and cost requirements related to clinical and translational clinical research professionals including seminars, symposia, workshops, and online educational offerings, among other initiatives. Serves as a resource specialist to CTSI constituents on education and training programs. Coordinates and assists other CTSI staff and program leaders on workforce development initiatives as needed. Works to implement Team Science initiatives focused on excellent collaboration among faculty, staff, and students from across the university. Responsible for tracking project progress and providing strategic recommendations to optimize timelines, resource allocation, and budget adherence. Possesses excellent project management skills.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
