We are looking for a highly skilled C++ Video Engineer to join our team, which is responsible for the company's video encoding and processing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in video processing and extensive experience in C/C++. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and optimize our backend systems for high-performance video processing, ensuring seamless and high-quality content for our users.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power high-performance video processing and encoding, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality, efficient backend solutions.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation to ensure maintainability and scalability of the video infrastructure.
  • Optimize algorithms and video pipelines to enhance processing performance and stability while minimizing latency.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments, providing timely resolutions to maintain uninterrupted service.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in video encoding, processing, and backend development, applying them to continuously improve our platform.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning sessions to foster continuous improvement and innovation in our team.
Requirements

What you'll need:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field from a recognized university.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++ development, particularly in backend systems for high-performance applications.
  • Deep understanding of video processing concepts, including decoding and encoding - a must.
  • Proven CUDA experience in GPU-accelerated video rendering/processing.
  • Proven experience in working within cross-functional, collaborative environments, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Passionate about learning and driven by a proactive attitude towards tackling challenges and driving innovation.
  • Great interpersonal skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with web video processing, decoding, and working with web codecs.
  • Experience with mobile video optimization and hardware acceleration.
  • Experience with various video codecs.
  • Familiarity with OpenGL or similar graphics APIs.
