Position Summary:

An Expeditor is the core support staff member of the restaurant and is responsible for table maintenance as directed, bussing, running food, assisting with wait staff, and barback duties as directed. The expeditor coordinates communication between the kitchen and servers, ensuring a seamless and superior guest experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes superior guest service.
  • Maintains and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
  • Set up and maintain the expedition side of the line.
  • Set up and maintained server station drink receptacles, including filling ice.
  • Maintain stock of all NA beverage and paper goods.
  • Bring up requisitions from the cage and warehouse and put items away to ensure organization.
  • Take direction from servers and bartenders to assist in table maintenance.
  • Communicate between the kitchen and the service staff to ensure quality and accuracy of orders.
  • Know restaurant seat tables and seat numbers no matter the configuration of tables.
  • Clear, reset, and arrange tables as required.
  • Ensure the FOH follows all sanitation and food safety practices, including—but not limited to—refreshing sanitizer buckets and practicing proper cleaning methods.
  • Possess intimate knowledge off all food offerings to ensure consistency in product.
  • Run food following proper service methods.
  • Prepare left-over food for takeout as needed.
  • Complete side duties as required, including, but not limited to, polishing silverware, restaurant set up, and condiment filling.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized as equivalent to a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
  • Valid Food Handler's card (onsite certification provided).
  • Must be able to stand and move quickly for an 8-10-hour shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
  • Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
