Team Lead (Backend-Focused) – Building the Core of Modern Finance

is reimagining how companies move money. We're an early-stage fintech startup building the future of accounts payable, payments, reconciliation, and cashflow management — and we're looking for an experienced Team Lead to guide our growing engineering group.

As a Team Lead, you'll balance hands-on development with technical leadership, ensuring the team builds scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations while fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration. You'll partner closely with product and design to deliver meaningful fintech solutions.

  • Lead and mentor a distributed team of developers.
  • Drive technical decisions on architecture, system design, and best practices.
  • Contribute directly to backend development ) while supporting frontend collaboration (React).
  • Oversee delivery of features end-to-end, from planning to deployment.
  • Champion quality, reliability, and scalability in everything we ship.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in software development.
  • 2+ years of leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong backend expertise , APIs, databases, cloud environments).
  • Solid experience with system architecture and scaling production systems.
  • Ability to mentor, manage, and inspire engineers.
  • Bonus: fintech/payments experience.
