Database Administrator

World-leading provider of audio software and hardware solutions, is looking for a talented DBA to join our Digital Services department. The position is located at Waves' main offices in Tel Aviv but due to the Covid-19 virus the position will be home based.

Job Responsibilities Manage and maintain data in production and non-production Microsoft databasesPerforms performance tuning by analyzing Microsoft SQL database , Windows operating system performance , implementing tuning and optimization recommendationsConsults and advises application support teams on database design, security, query optimization and performanceResearch new technology as it is introducing in the market, adapt to and rapidly apply new & changing technology to support business requirements and possess the initiative to explore areas of improvement in the server environmentMandatory Required Skills and Experience:Certified SQL DBA.3+ years related experience in IT including experience with MS SQL Server and Windows operating systemsStrong scripting skills as relevant to DBA functions and activitiesStrong background with monitoring and capacity management of the databasesProficient in upgrades and installs of DBMS softwareWriting and improving SQL Server T-SQL queries for at least a year. experience with data services of AWS & AZURE cloud.Designing tables and picking data typesUsing Profiler traces and other tools to find the most frequently run queriesAbility to gather requirements, develop plans, lead projects and accept responsibility for assigned project's timely completionKnowledge of hardware, peripherals and connectivity, SAN, hardware management techniques, and software to provide an optimized physical model to ensure efficient and reliable Windows server and database performanceKnowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options.Knowledge with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, ETL's and BI approach.
