We're looking for talented Senior AI Engineers to join us at Daylight Security. This is an opportunity to be part of our core technical team and shape the foundation of our AI-driven product and infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with our product and engineering teams to design, build, and optimize intelligent systems that power a fast, intuitive, and secure user experience.

As one of our early engineering hires, you'll play a pivotal role in defining our AI architecture, driving model development and integration, and influencing how we leverage AI across the stack. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy production-grade LLM-powered features and services
  • Build and refine AI pipelines that integrate LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector databases
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate user and business needs into scalable AI solutions
  • Conduct prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model evaluation to optimize accuracy, speed, and reliability
  • Explore, experiment with, and implement emerging GenAI tools and frameworks to improve product capabilities and developer velocity
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, including data flows, API design, and model serving strategies
  • Maintain high standards of performance, scalability, and security in all AI applications
  • Participate in peer reviews and help foster an AI-native, high-quality engineering culture
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a software or machine learning engineer
  • Experience with modern AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, OpenAI / Anthropic APIs, Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-based or RAG-powered applications and deploying them in production environments
  • Understanding of prompt design, embeddings, and vector search concepts
  • Experience integrating LLMs with backend systems and APIs
  • Comfort working in an AI-native development environment, leveraging AI tools to improve both product and engineering workflows
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Self-starter attitude and comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment
