As the Director of Professional Services, you will lead and scale a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering complex, high-impact solutions to our customers. Your team includes Onboarding Managers, Customer Solutions Engineers, and Professional Services Engineers, all focused on enabling our customers' success across onboarding, integrations, migrations, and solution design.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role that requires a blend of deep technical expertise, commercial thinking, project leadership, and a customer-centric mindset. You'll define our service delivery methodology, align with cross-functional teams, oversee execution of mission-critical projects, and shape our commercial services strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Delivery Excellence

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a diverse team across onboarding, technical consulting, and engineering
  • Establish clear goals, processes, and standards to ensure high-quality, on-time service delivery
  • Oversee delivery of strategic customer projects from scoping to execution, ensuring exceptional outcomes and time-to-value

Solution Design and Technical Strategy

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex solution architecture, integrations, and customer implementations
  • Guide the team in designing end-to-end solutions using Atera's platform, APIs, and automation capabilities
  • Champion technical excellence, documentation standards, and knowledge sharing across the organization

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to define and improve delivery processes, customer journeys, and handoff experiences
  • Act as a voice of the customer and professional services in internal planning and strategy sessions

Services Packaging and Commercial Strategy

  • Design and evolve our Professional Services catalog and commercial offerings, including pricing, packaging, and go-to-market alignment
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to position services as value accelerators and support services pre-sales when needed
  • Track and optimize utilization, delivery efficiency, and revenue targets across the services organization

Operational Excellence and Innovation

  • Build data-driven reporting on project status, customer satisfaction, utilization, and financial performance
  • Continuously improve delivery frameworks, tools, and methodologies to scale and standardize service offerings
  • Innovate on how we deliver services using automation, AI, and customer feedback

Requirements:

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in Professional Services, Solutions Architecture, or Customer Implementation roles in SaaS and/or IT companies
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical customer-facing teams, such as onboarding, deployment, or consulting
  • Strong technical acumen in IT operations, APIs, automation, scripting (PowerShell, Python), and solution design
  • Proven success in scaling teams, driving process change, and building delivery frameworks from the ground up
  • Experience designing services, packaging, and monetization strategies
  • Strong project management background and ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects to success
  • Exceptional communication skills with a passion for creating customer impact
  • Experience working with MSPs, internal IT teams, and strategic enterprise customers - highly preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a builder mentality, ready to experiment, execute, and iterate
