Senior Devops Engineer

Hours: 6–9 hours/day, Sunday to Thursday

In Office: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (additional hours may be in-office or remote)

We are a fast-growing startup in the healthcare industry seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure, optimizing resources across on-prem servers, virtual machines, a GPU server, and cloud environments. They will make strategic decisions on resource allocation, environment setup, and project deployments to ensure performance and minimize downtime. Strong expertise in containerization, automation, and orchestration, particularly with Docker and Kubernetes, is required. Responsibilities:

1. Environment Setup and Resource Management:

• Design and implement environment setups to maximize resource utilization.
• Allocate CPU, GPU, RAM, memory, and disk space for various projects.

• Decide on the most appropriate environment (on-premises or cloud) for each project.

• Containerization and Orchestration:

• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes to manage and orchestrate containers across environments.

• Implement and maintain containerized applications and services.

• Automation and Configuration:

• Configure automatic setup and restarts to ensure high availability and reliability.

• Develop and manage automation scripts and tools for efficient infrastructure management.

• Infrastructure Management:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure using cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) as an addition to primarily on-premises services.

• Create and manage separate production and development environments to ensure stability and streamlined development processes.

• Monitoring and Logging:

• Select and implement the best software and logging tools to monitor system performance and ensure quick issue resolution.

• Establish comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to minimize downtime

• Collaboration and Leadership:

• Work closely with development teams to understand project requirements and ensure seamless integration and deployment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
• Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration tools, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience in managing on-premises infrastructure and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with GPU server management and optimization.
• Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps.
• Certifications in cloud services (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
