Attorney – Assistant to the General Counsel (Medical Malpractice & Litigation)

Location:
Tel Aviv–Yafo |
Employment:
Full-time (Sun–Thu), with readiness for overtime

About the role

Join a leading public medical center and support the General Counsel in managing bodily-injury claims (medical malpractice, third-party, employer liability), providing legal advice on patient safety and risk management, and handling litigation end-to-end.

What you'll do

  • Manage and support medical malpractice, third-party, and employer-liability claims through resolution
  • Provide ongoing legal counsel to clinical and administrative departments on medico-legal and ethics matters
  • Liaise with the insurer and external law firms; coordinate with municipal authorities (e.g., employer-liability cases)
  • Draft legal opinions, contracts, and internal documents; appear in court and in enforcement proceedings as needed
  • Participate in institutional committees (including Ethics and Transplantation)
  • Oversee insurance matters and coverage for hospital activities; respond to public inquiries
  • Help draft/update procedures and deliver legal training (presentations/e-learning)

Requirements

  • Israeli attorney license + Israel Bar membership –
    must
  • LL.B required; LL.M / Health-Care Administration –
    advantage
  • 4+ years PQE
    , including
    3+ years in defendant-side medical malpractice and litigation
    –
    must
  • Experience in contract drafting/transactions – advantage; tenders & public-procurement law – advantage
  • High-level professional English; strong service orientation and interpersonal skills
