Senior Backend Engineer | AI & Computer Vision

A cutting-edge company in the AI and Computer Vision space is looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to help build the core infrastructure powering large-scale visual data applications. This is an opportunity to shape how AI, analytics, and operations teams manage and process massive datasets, driving innovation in one of the most exciting domains today.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable backend systems for AI-driven image and video processing.
  • Develop and optimize vector storage, retrieval, and indexing strategies for computer vision workloads.
  • Build robust backend APIs for AI pipelines, internal tools, and third-party integrations.
  • Architect and scale data processing pipelines supporting multi-million image and video datasets.
  • Collaborate with AI research teams to integrate machine learning models and inference workflows.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of backend development experience.
  • Strong expertise in
    Python
    , distributed systems, and data-intensive applications.
  • Proven track record in database performance optimization (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale
    data pipelines
    and real-time processing.
  • Proficiency with
    Docker
    and
    Kubernetes
    in production environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with AI and research teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with
    Vector Databases
    and similarity search at scale.
  • Familiarity with distributed task queues or workflow engines (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, Celery).
  • Contributions to open-source projects in AI, ML, or data infrastructure.
