Intern, Lab Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an Intern- Lab Maintenance Technician to join our Lab team at our Kinneret site and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge communication technologies. You will help maintain, operate, and upgrade lab infrastructure, including network equipment, operating systems, virtualization environments, and radio systems. This is a practical, learning-focused role that supports development and testing teams—both locally and globally. No prior professional experience is required; we will train the right candidate.

What you will do:

• Assist in maintaining and configuring networking equipment (switches, routers, and other network devices).
• Help build and maintain communication and radio-based setups
• Learn to install and manage operating systems (Windows, Linux) in the lab environment — without dependency on IT support.
• Support setup and management of virtualization environments (VMware, VirtualBox, KVM, etc.).Operate and help maintain radio and measurement systems.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues in the lab.
• Document configurations, procedures, and c hanges.
• Collaburate with peer engineering teams across multiple geographies, providing active support as per project needs.

What you should have:

• Student in Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Basic understanding or strong interest in networking, operating systems, or lab environments.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and t ools.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Good command of technical English – mandatory.
• At least 3 full working days availability.
• At least 4 semesters remaining to graduation.

NIce to have have:

• Familiarity with Windows or Linux operating systems
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (Layer 2/3).
• Exposure to virtualization tools in radio, wireless, or cellular technologies.
• Knowledge of Python or Bash scripting.
