Role Overview

As the Prompt Engineer at XG University, you will be a key architect behind our AI-powered educational experience. You will craft, optimize, and maintain the prompts that drive our learning experience, ensuring students receive accurate, personalized, and engaging education. 

This role sits at the intersection of creativity, language, and technical precision. You'll collaborate with developers, educators, and designers to bring lifelike AI instructors to life.

Key Responsibilities

Avatar Development

  • Design and create AI teachers
  • Optimize avatar visage and audio

System Prompt Engineering

  • Design and maintain system prompts
  • Optimize prompt performance
  • Implement context management
  • Create prompt templates and variations

Course Automation

  • Develop automated course generation systems
  • Implement assessment generation
  • Optimize content structure

Research & Innovation

  • Stay current with AI advancements
  • Research new prompting techniques
  • Experiment with new models
  • Optimize cost and performance

Database Operations

  • Manage prompt storage and retrieval
  • Support database migrations with Drizzle ORM
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies

Requirements

  • 1+ years of prompt engineering experience
  • 2+ years of data analysis or any related research position
  • Strong experience with GenAI tools
  • Proficiency in prompt engineering
  • Experience with LLMs and their limitations
  • Knowledge of automation tools
  • Familiarity with Python/TypeScript applications
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Proficiency in English
